Newly Obama appointed "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones' is in this video. Jones was the UUA General Assembly Ware Lecturer 2008. Here's a recent interview with Van Jones in the Huffington Post. Green For All is dedicated to improving the lives of all Americans through a clean energy economy. Its works in collaboration with the business, government, labor, and grassroots communities to create and implement programs that increase quality jobs and opportunities in green industry – all while holding the most vulnerable people at the center of our agenda....building a clean energy economy is a chance to reinvigorate and reinvest in the best part of the American dream: the idea that everyone gets a chance to succeed and be happy. I am not an organizer for this event. My sister attended a few years ago and told me: "The Symposium that will be presented is designed by the Pachamama Foundation, headed up by Lynne Twist, who you may remember from The Hunger Project. She has been putting all her energies into saving the Rainforest and the culture of its indigenous people for the last decade or more, out of a belief that as goes the rainforest, so goes the planet.

The Symposium is a beautiful introduction to the spirituality of our relationship with the earth, based on the teachings of the people in the Rainforest. It is a multimedia presentation facilitated by volunteers who have taken a training program out of their commitment to wake us all up to the outcome of our current way of life, and spur us to constructive change. I left the symposium (in 2006, I think) moved and inspired, and with a new perspective on the profound beauty of our planet and our responsibility to preserve and protect it."
