Great photos from your travels. I loved the one of the Middle Earth from Lord of the Rings. The hobbits house looks neat. see ya back in church on Sunday.

Bingo June! The first pic is the skyline of Auckland, New Zealand, with the Sky Tower prominent. The second pic is from the thermals of Hell's Gate in Rotarua, south of Auckland. The third is from the shire of Hobbiton in Middle Earth, where the "Lord of the Rings" were partially filmed (the three films were all filmed in various parts of New Zealand). Terry and I are here to see one of her books being filmed by a German television company (check out the photo below of the film crew), which for us is even more exciting than "Lord of the Rings." This is the fourth book she has authored that has been filmed in New Zealand by the Germans, and they flew us here to take a look. It's been a thrilling trip for us, and we've seen some incredible sites on the north and south islands. We fly home tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on Sunday when I will share some of my sabbatical stories.

You're in the shire! But you're the size of Gandolph and not the hobbits! Middle Earth (yet another reference to Lord of the Rings) is .....New Zealand, specifically the rolling hills of Matamata?
