UUCA Bakers Help ASPAN
ASPAN Needs Food
Thanks to the bakers of UUCA, the clients at the Arlington A-SPAN winter shelter had bread for their dinner the night of UUCA’s Nov. 20 Bread Communion. No bread had been available for a couple of nights and certainly nothing as good as we delivered to them on Sunday. (UUCA Bread Communion bakers included Katie Lyn Peebles, Ron Cima, Cyanne Hanson, Sharon Williams, Denise, Max, and Rachel Kappler, and Rev. Linda).
With tight budgets, fruits and desserts have been in short supply for the more than 70 people ASPAN feeds daily. If you want to help, just drop off a bag of apples or clementines or other fruit to the Emergency Shelter at:
A-SPAN at 2049 N. 15 St., Arlington (across for the Arlington Courthouse complex) any time after 4:00 pm. Everyone will benefit from your generosity.

Thank you for sharing this Rev. Linda. I'm proud that UUCA is doing loving hands on work for this group, and the tip you provide for where and when to make a fruit donation is very helpful.
Have you heard about the new "Monthly Service Project"? The projects will begin in Janurary when participants will make no-sew scaves for A-SPAN cliemts. It will take place Sat. Jan. 28 at the Arlington Church of the Bretheren at 10:00 a.m.
There will be a project each month on the 4th Saturday. Three churches together have launched this effort, and they hope to engage more churches, community groups, and the wider community.
