We will not have a text of this sermon. So I'll offer a summary here and hope that fellow members in attendance comment at the bottom of this blog to fill in gaps and add their thoughts.

Rev. Mark Kiyimba, minister of the Unitarian Church of Kampala, preached a moving sermon that traced the foundations of his ministry from the days of dictator Idi Amin - who killed his father - to the struggle his mother faced raising 10 children and to the plight of women in Africa, in general. He linked his story to a revelation to fight for same-sex relationships, which are illegal in Uganda. He spoke of his disbelief that evangelists in the USA were exporting hate to his country. Uganda is considering a bill that would make LGBTQ relationships subject to a death penalty. If the bill becomes law, any supporters such as Rev. Mark, would become targets of government action. Missed the sermon? We'll have it available soon in a video.
