On Cape Cod, people talk about Aqua Cultcha quite a bit but right now the only thing you can hear is Peeper Cultcha. And you can't get a word in edgewise.
They humble me.
They even drown out stragglers at Guapo's, a roadhouse-like establishment that comes in handy. It's close to the house and also major bike trails. We're staying in a home that is surrounded by marshes and ponds, with cranberry bogs filling in here and there. When we're not entertained by the peepers, we hit the paths. Teddy, our dog, cycles with us.
I tried recording the outdoor concert for you but the iPhone doesn't do well in natcha. The peepers on this video sound about the same as the ones outside our windows.
