Immigration Class & Film Series

Please join the Immigration Working Group for two exciting educational activities on Immigration:

Immigration as a Moral Issue Study Group: Wed. at 7:30, Feb 8 & 22, March 14 & 28, April 11 & 25
Join us for the six-session study group on “Immigration as a Moral Issue,” led by members of the Immigration Working Group. The class uses the curriculum designed by the UUA to explore this highly-charged and complex issue, which is also the focus of the 2012 General Assembly in Phoenix. Topics include: Understanding the Causes of Migration; History of Immigration in the U.S.; Economics of (Im)migration; Security, Enforcement, and Human Rights; Who Benefits from a Broken System? and Seeking Solutions (see flyer for details: Adult%20Ed%20Class%20flyer.doc). A commitment for the six sessions is preferred but not required. Those considering going to GA are particularly encouraged to attend, but the class is open to everyone.

Immigration Film Series: Mon., Feb 6, March 5, & April 2, 7:00pm
Come see stories of the human side of U.S. immigration policy and learn how the law affects the lives of individual people. Join the Immigration Working Group for screenings and discussion of three films (see flyer for details: Film%20Series%20flyer.doc):
