HIPS HAPPY HOUR FUNDRAISER MONDAY 2/22
What: Fundraiser hosted by Paola Barahona and Bill Piper
Who: The fundraiser benefits HIPS - a local non-profit harm reduction
program working with individuals engaging in sex work to assist them
in leading healthy lives.
Why: January 1 HIPS moved to a new, expanded facility. The fundraiser
will help pay for building out improved counseling spaces and creating
a welcoming drop-in center for people seeking support in changing
their lives.
When: Monday, February 22, 5:30-8 PM
Where: Science Club - 1135 19th Street, NW, WDC 20035 (conveniently
downtown near 19th & L)
How: Your $20 donation to HIPS will be collected at the door. Science
Club is generously offering a free drink as a thank-you for your
donation.
