What does multiculturalism mean to you?
I am no expert in multiculturalism I have more questions than answers. I have a lot to learn as a white European-American about being truly inclusive. It is a spiritual practice and a part of my identity I am actively exploring right now. I participated in the Building the World We Dream about Class for 1 year, Jubilee II, and I am part of UUCA's White Allies for Racial Equity Group.
What religion or spiritual practices did you grow up with?

"If you are here to help me, then you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up in mine, then let's begin our work together."

Thanks for wanting to be a "new friend", I look forward to us getting to know each other.

As I wrote that last sentence, my mind wandered off to "Mr. Roger's"  songs, "Getting to Know You, Getting to know all about you. Getting to like you , and hoping that you like me too..." , I also loved "it's a Beautiful day in the Neighborhood". Making new friends is always such an exciting delight. It's better than opening new presents at Christmas--because it is an on-going  "opening up" of new aspects about the other and ourselves--- to me it's second only to the experience of "falling in love", and right above traveling to new places, because the other's mind/psychology/experiences/talents/world-view is so much more interesting than a geographical physical space/place--"AINT IT GRAND, AINT IT SWELL"

Thanks Sharon. How was your Jubilee experience this weekend? I felt pretty good in the end (strong, centered, and hopeful) after Rev. Mel Hoover made his statements with such fire.
