I will be unable to attend the Monday book signing. That is the same day as  my right knee replacement. Can someone pick me up a signed copy of the book? Let me know how much and I will send you a check before Monday. Thanks

Thanks, June, for starting this on-line group. It will be very useful for us to keep in touch with each other at GA.

Tell us a little about yourself/your family/your interests:
Like everyone, I wear many hats....mother, grandmom, sister, friend, etc. I have two grown children, Vic (a businessman in Pittsburgh) and Jill (a PE teacher in Wilmington, NC). Jill has two children...my two grandchildren, Luke (who plays football for the Citadel) and Kenan (a new high school graduate). By profession, I am a physician, an anesthesiologist, working again after flunking retirement. Recently I became a certified hypnotist. Love playing bridge, reading, cooking, hiking, dancing, gardening, rock and roll and blues music and the UU Church of Arlington. For 19 years I have been vegetarian.

Hi, Phyllis. I haven't visited the UUCA site as much as I'd want. Please include me as one of your friends.

Hello, Phyllis.

Thought I'd visit your page as you're one of the featured members on the UUCA site. I love your color scheme and floral theme; it's very welcoming. How fascinating to read about all of your interests. I didn't realize that the Master Gardener course took three years to complete.

Hope you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving minus the turkey. As another vegetarian, I was grateful to have so many delicious vegetable dishes at the meal Bob, Jenny, and I shared with his family in Richmond.

Hi, Phyllis -- Thanks for "friending" me; back at'cha, as Sarah Pallin would say. As for being "older" in my statement -- I guess I just didn't want any young guys pestering me ;-)

Hey Phyllis - glad to be a friend but I've always been a friend! This web site is terrific. I just got approved and I'm now getting familiar with all the news, etc. You inspire me to become a vegetarian.

Food for thought: "Adam was the first man. Atom was the last man."

See you at church.

Dear Phyllis,
Delighted to accept your invitation. I shall miss the Covenant group this year. But hope to stay in touch as I can. Look forward to seeing you at church and in the community.

All the best,

Pat

Thanks for the kind words Phyllis. Glad to see you here. Anytime you have questions, I'm there for you. And I'll be in the boardroom on Sundays through Dec. 20 after services. --June Herold
