Actually, I have considered the idea in detail. The materials would cost $500 to $1,000.
The labour would be about 200 hours. At $20 an hour that would be about $4,000.
So total of $5,000. If you double for unforeseen issues then total max. would be $10,000. I'm assuming a labor cost for Buckingham workers. I have used an excellent carpenter from Buckingham who charged $15 an hour.
But it seems the NEW pews are a heavy train running fast. Stepping in front of it would not be advisable. I plan to arrive at church at 10:20, see what is up at coffee hour, attend the second service, and then attend the 1 pm meeting.
