What does multiculturalism mean to you?: Everyone accepts and appreciates everyone else for who they are and how they came to be who they are.

What religion or spiritual practices did you grow up with?: I was raised Catholic, but now look for other ways to develop my interior life. I value quiet time, reading, and finding inspiration from nature and human community.

Tell us a little about yourself/your family/your interests:: I am a retired elementary school teacher. I have thought a lot about learning and what to do about our public education programs. Now I just play with my two grandchildren and hope for the best. Also, I tend a big vegetable garden and am a hobbiest potter and work at Lee Arts Center. I have two grown married sons, and a husband who loves me.

Why are you a Unitarian Universalist?: I wanted a Church community that supports humanistic values, but is not dogmatic; a church that inspires me to develop an interior life while at the same time live consciously in the world and make it a better place for everyone.
