Most of our homestays are located in pleasant, convenient, close-in, Arlington, Virginia, where the sights and sounds of our nation’s capital are but a short drive or a few metro stops away. All of our homes are smoke-free, and most accept children. All are bargain-priced as follows:

One person = $50 a night

Two people = $100 a night

Payment in full is due once you have chosen a home through our B&B coordinator.

Japan House

Delightful retired couple with two cats will open up their stunning Japanese-inspired home (up to three people). On the main level is a bedroom and bath for a couple (queen bed); on the finished lower level is a bedroom and bath for another adult or older child (single bed). Enjoy the inviting year-round porch with a view of their koi pond in this appealing pastoral setting. Located in Falls Church not far from Baileys Crossroads and a short drive to UUCA.

Ballston Metro Apartment

Perfect spot for the visitor with no car. This is a first floor apartment in a 1960’s-vintage 10-story apartment building that is close to: Ballston Metro Stop (Orange Line) – 3 blocks; Ballston Common Mall (with Macy’s, 12-screen cinema, ice skating rink) – 5 blocks; Arlington Central Library – directly across the street; many, many restaurants within 2 to 8 blocks. Amenities include a small guest room with double bed and exclusive use of a bathroom, which is adjacent to, but not connected to the room. Apartment décor is “retired graduate student/packrat”. WiFi, simple breakfast.Great outdoor pool in season. No pets. Can accommodate 2 people.

Waverly Hills House

Stay in a quiet setting less than a mile from the Ballston Metro Stop (Orange Line). (There is an ART commuter bus at the corner that goes directly to and from the Metro every half hour during a long rush-hour.) This house features a first floor bedroom with private bath, 2 twin beds. Easy street parking. WIFI. Simple breakfast. Can accommodate 2 people with the possibility of an Aerobed in the room.

The Dutch House

Perfect for a large group, this lovely home, named for its personable hostess, can one way or another, up to 7 congenial folks. There is a futon and half-bath in the basement; a den with very comfortable queen-size sofa bed and full bathroom on the first floor; and 2 bedrooms with shared bath on the second floor, one with a twin bed and the other with a queen bed. Easy street parking, simple breakfast, and a seven-minute walk to the Virginia Square Metro Stop (Orange Line) make this an ideal location.

The Gardens

Lovely home in N. Arlington where you will be housed in a comfortable guest room with queen-size bed and private bath. There is also an office across the hall from the guest room with a single-bed futon suitable for a responsible child. Simple breakfast, street parking. There is a metro bus at the corner that can take you the one mile to and from the East Falls Church Metro Stop (Orange Line). This house is wheelchair-accessible.

Setter House

Great location with the best of all worlds – no parking problem and only ½ mile walk to the East Falls Church Metro stop (Orange Line). Can accommodate single person or couple in one small bedroom with a queen-size bed (good mattress & box spring); private bathroom across the hall. There is a friendly English setter in residence. No children permitted. Simple breakfast.

House in the Woods

Conveniently located on the Arlington/McLean border and just two miles from the East Falls Church Metro, this home offers a lovely private bedroom with queen size bed and full bath. Additional guests can be accommodated in the family room next to the guest bedroom. There is also an upstairs bedroom with shared bath. Walk or take a shuttle to Metro, or when retired hosts are available, they will provide transportation to and from the Metro station.
