Sunday Services: What to Expect

Times: There are two services from September through May: 9:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. In the summer, there is one morning service at 10:00 a.m.

Format: At the beginning of services, the chalice is lit by church members or ministers. Then the format of the sermon varies and may include plays, skits, dances and performances by the renowned UUCA Choir, as well as sermons. Most services include homilies or sermons, meditation, the signing of hymns, and news of joys and sorrows in the congregation. Our ushers will greet you at the sanctuary doors and are available to assist you with any special requests. The ushers can provide amplification equipment for hearing-impaired individuals to use during the service.

Dress: Anything form casual weekend wear to casual business attire. Come in what you are most comfortable in.

Religious Education: Classes for youth and children are offered during each service. Infant and toddler care are also provided in the nursery.

Fellowship: Following each service members, friends, and visitors gather in the Fellowship Hall for refreshments, conversation, and information on various activities and social justice programs at the church.
