How much are members currently giving to the annual budget?

Our annual budget for 2011-2012 was approximately $1.5 million. The annual budget finances programming, services, building maintenance and staff, worship, creative arts, children and youth programs, and social justice activities. However, the anticipated expenses in the 2011-2012 budget are now projected to exceed nearly $100,000, or about 8%. Thus, we are asking UUCA members and friends to help "Fill the Gap" by adding 8% (the equivalent of a month's pledge) to the amounts already pledge for the current year.

How much should I give to the annual budget?
How much you pledge to the UUCA Annual Campaign is a personal decision. Be aware that church expenses are about $4,200 a day. We have struggled to accomplish our goals in recent years because of budget constraints; in fact, UUCA has had one of the lowest giving levels of any UU church in the area. Now, on the threshold of new spaces, new leadership, new and renewed ministries, we ask you to consider increasing your annual giving by 10% so that together we can accomplish our goals. For your guidance, see the UUCA Fair Share Giving Guide. Of course, these figures are only a guide, and you must consider your personal situation in deciding your commitment. Make a pledge that represents your appreciation for UUCA's programs and services and your support in this transitional time. Together, UUCA members and friends support what we share in this congregation and what we offer to our broader community.
