Pastoral Care at UUCA is a network of caring connections that provides a supportive compassionate presence when you may be struggling, alone, or in pain.


UUCA’s Pastoral Care Team
A small group of trained volunteers who help people in difficult times by providing:
• Continuing compassionate presence
• Ongoing community connection
• Relationships of support


UUCA Ministers
Respond to a wide variety of pastoral needs. They offer spiritual guidance and pastoral counseling during difficult times or life-changing situations.


UUCA’s network of Pastoral Care also includes:

Members and friends are often the first responders to one another’s pastoral care needs by listening, offering a word of care, and stepping up to help.

Pastoral Connectors within our many church groups help the ministers and Pastoral Care Team learn of needs.

Sunday worship services provide a special caring book by the candles tables, for members to write of joys and sorrows.

Helping Hands is a network of volunteers who provide assistance in times of need or crisis – assistance such as bringing meals or providing rides. SHINE is a healing choir that offers an opportunity to explore the healing power of music.

Support Groups include:

  • Well Spouse Support Group. For spouse or partner caregivers. 
  • Grief Support Group. This group reforms several times a year when there is a need. Rev. Dr. Linda Olson Peebles
