Day Alliance

For more than sixty years the Day Alliance has been providing opportunities for daytime social activity and intellectual stimulation for the nearly one hundred men and women who are members. Day Alliance meets the second Tuesday of the month. Sign-in is at 10:00 a.m. and is followed by a short business meeting. A special presentation begins at 11:00 a.m. A catered lunch begins at noon.

Is Peace Still Possible Between Israel and the Palestinians

Middle East expert Andrea Farsakh will discuss the possibilities of restarting the stalemated peace process between Israel and the Palestinians. Ms. Farsakh is a former foreign service officer who served in the Middle East and regularly visits Palestine. Ms. Farsakh is a frequent lecturer on Islam and the Israel/Palestine issue for the American Foreign Service Association and gives an annual course on Islam. She is a graduate of of Mt. Holyoke College and has a Master of Arts in Arab Studies from the American University of Beirut.  She was an Executive Fellow at Princeton University.

Members and friends of the Day Alliance gather at 10 am for coffee, a business meeting at 10:30, and our featured program  at 11a.m.   Erica Clark will cater lunch at noon.  Tickets for lunch are $9; advance reservations are appreciated.  Please contact Phyllis Lehner (703-329-0699) to reserve.
