Group Tools - Topics for Sunday, December 13, 2009. This is the exact topic guide handout used in the first session. In the second session we combined some topics in an effort to control the time -- but handed out the same topic guide. I think this threw people off and I apologize for the confusion; we should not have handed out the topic guide then. I do think that the un-compressed topic segmentation and presentation in the first session appeared to be easier to learn from. The compressed presentation lent itself to a more powerful team training experience for me -- we each picked up one of the topics we were overlapping. (JIll Herndon)

Documents can be created in Google Docs for collaborative writing, or spreadsheets for Sign Up lists. Your Group can get to them from a link you post in your Group. I am posting two instruction sheets for setting up a Google Docs account, and a document you can share.

I started a draft of a User Manual for our web site -- several months ago. I was learning as I was writing -- it was tedious and fun too. One reader showed me that I needed to capture bits and pieces for targeted audiences -- new users, people who know all about it and just could use a way to present these pieces to friends, people who know how to make personal use but would find "organizational development" resources and practices helpful.
Is anyone interested in starting the User Manual all over with me -- perhaps just for one of the target audiences? It would be helpful just to have an interested listener, giving me feedback. Somehow, by myself, the other voices in my life jump in and interupt my train of thought ...

Thanks for the "event" testing information. Jacomina is using an invitation system for our Core Group meetings that seems really helpful. I like seeing who can make it on what day or time as we decide what works; this makes it usefully interactive.

Hi. regarding the event function i'm testing it out which is why i haven't broadcast it. please note that i may remove it. I didn't announce it because i'm not convinced it's the right one for us....i'm shopping around for event gadgets

There is a new "Event" function on the web site. Let's figure out how best to use it. I know several groups have used blogs to post events but this includes an invitation response function. It is under CALENDAR, the final tab on the top horizontal navigation bar.
