Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, VA

A diverse, welcoming community of open hearts and minds since 1948

Hi everyone. Heather and I are going to London for  part work/part "honeymoon." (She has a conference, and I'm going so that we can take advantage of an opportunity to have a vacation in a city we love but otherwise wouldn't be able to visit for quite a while)

We need someone to care for our "Jorkie," the half Yorkie, half Jack Russel Teddy. Or, "the Every-Ready Teddy."

We're more than happy to do a barter arrangement. We'll care for your dog when you're out of town.

Teddy weighs about 11 lbs. He's a love sponge. He'll do better if he stays in our house during the trip. And a housesitter would also help us keep our garden watered. But if you prefer to take him into your home, that's fine too.

He's easy to care for -- no meds. We don't board him and we've not given him shots for kennel cough. But if you require that to have him in your house, we'll get the shot.

When: June 14 - 21 2010
Where: Your house or ours

If you're interested, or can recommend someone who is 18 or older, please let me know.

Great photos of Teddy! So sorry that this time period conflicts with other commitments I have.

So here is a reference for Teddy -- he is the kind of dog who waits for me to get comfortable then settles on the couch against my hip, does winsome eyes, flips to the belly up and paw praying position when he thinks I have been softened up for a belly rub. He is polite in company. June and Heather and I spent a whole lot of time one day not paying attention and he did not intrude -- just the soft moves to the thigh already described. He is very civilized, and a casanova.
Hi it's Gerda Keiswetter. Our daughter ( age 28) just moved back to Arlington and is with us, and is available to house/dog sit for you, if you still need. Please email Emma if you want at emk1981@gmail.com.
