Our Bodies, Our UU Selves

I was grateful for the wonderful service this past Sunday, with the theme of connecting to and through our bodies. That's also the theme of an adult RD workshop series I'm offering this fall (FREE). Basically, I want to explore (with others) how the UU "spirit of life" moves within our bodies--how we develop and how our diverse chakra energy centers interact [and WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!] In another session I hope we can explore what our bodies teach us about struggle, conflict and suffering. And a 3rd session will deal with physical survival, security and risk, mutual dependence and such "economic" matters. (I'm thinking everybody should bring a woobie or binkie or other "security icon" to help chart our passage through this dangerous world!) I am deeply curious what issues and themes about the body interest other folks in our congregation. How do your bodily experiences shape your UU faith and action? I'd love to hear others' points of view.
