2020 Ministerial Search
The 2020 Ministerial Search Committee (MSC) is working hard to understand and analyze the hopes, dreams, and needs of our congregation and community in order to find the best possible candidate to become our next called senior minister. Our goal is to have a new minister in place by Summer 2020.
Join us! Upcoming 2020 Minister Search Activities
Sunday, February 10 | Hear Rev. Kate Walker preach, then ask questions about the search process in the Center after services.
Saturday, February 23 | Examine your assumptions and open your mind to new possibilities when you participate in the Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop | 10am-1pm in the sanctuary, with free lunch to follow in the Fellowship Hall. Childcare is provided. CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP!
Sunday, February 24 | Hear UUA Transitions Director Rev. Keith Kron preach on “Don’t Think of a Minister.” Well, now that you have, what did you think of? What image came to mind? Unitarian Universalist ministers come in a wide diversity, yet stereotypes and assumptions still remain. In conjunction with the Beyond Categorical Thinking workshop this weekend, we’ll explore how our implicit bias may affect our ministerial search (and life) and what we can do about it.
Sunday, March 10 | Learn how you can share your hopes and dreams for our community and be a part of shaping the future of UUCA by participating in the Appreciative Inquiry process during services, led by Rev. Terasa and members of the Ministerial Search Committee.
Sunday, March 24 | Tell us what our congregation means to you and how you hope to see UUCA evolve in this Appreciative Inquiry session | 2pm-4:30pm in the Center
Saturday, April 6 | Tell us what our congregation means to you and how you hope to see UUCA evolve in this Appreciative Inquiry session | 9:30am-noon in the activity room
Stay tuned for more opportunities to share your thoughts and ideas with the ministerial search committee!
